After several weeks of intense study, the 2010 Art Arising students have the opportunity to showcase their work.
The Arts Arising
program, which began in the summer of 1989, is an intense, arts focused program
held at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County's campus in
Camden during the
month of June. The program is conducted by the Fine Arts Center for the Kershaw
and Lee County Schools Districts. It serves third through sixth grade students
who have been identified as gifted or talented in visual art, music, theatre
and dance. Arts Arising allows gifted and talented students to develop
toward their full potential in a supportive environment that challenges them to
move beyond the expected.
With a performance showcase along with the gallery opening, the 2010 Arts Arising students have cause to celebrate.
Come see the great variety of artwork in the Bassett Gallery created by this year's Arts Arising students.
