Join us for the return of Cabaret Night, an innovative evening of dance with the Columbia Classical Ballet.
Start your
Valentine's celebration off right and bring your special someone to this
sensual evening of dance brought to you by one of Columbias premier dance companies, the
Columbia Classical Ballet. The Columbia Classical Ballet recruits some of the
most talented performers from around the world and brings them to the Midlands. Dances will be performed to jazz, Latin beat,
Gershwin, blues, Glenn Miller and more. The Columbia Classical Ballet performs
under Artistic Director Radenko Pavlovich, a native of Sarajevo, Yugoslavia,
who was coached by Grand Ballet master Rudolph Nureyev.
Prior to the performance enjoy a cash bar and preshow entertainment provided by We Three (Julia Halford, Phyllis David, and Linda Higgins.) Cabaret Night is sponsored by Williams Group, C.W. & Sons, LLC, as well as generous donations from supporters.
The After
Party
The After Party
will be held at Ten Eleven Galleria Upstairs immediately following the
performance. During the After Party you will have the opportunity to meet and
mingle with the dancers while enjoying hors d'ouevres and a cash bar. Hors d'ouevres will be provided by Catery on Broad. The After Party is co-hosted by Fred and Rose
Sheheen and Earl and Nancy Bryant.
Proceeds from Cabaret Night will benefit the Outreach Committee of the FAC whose initiative is to bring a world of arts, education and entertainment to at-risk and special needs children. It is these children, who many times, will never have the opportunity to experience the wonder, magic and healing of the arts who benefit from this opportunity. Last fall, the Outreach committee was able to bring Sarah Dippity to the FAC to perform for 284 at risk school children at no charge. Sarah will return to the FAC in March to perform her "Super Hero Show" for another full audience of First Step students and students of Elgin's Pine Grove School for the disabled, again at no charge. Fundraising events such as "Cabaret Night" enable the FAC Outreach Committee to fund these programs as well as other community-wide events.
