    Come join us in learning group numbers and duets from Musicals throughout history. I have carefully selected multiple group numbers and duets to be performed during this show! We will dance, act, sing, and wear lots of costumes! I have selected music from Shrek the Musical, Phantom of the Opera, Into the Woods, Come From Away, Annie, Matilda, Six, and more! We will begin our meeting on the weekends in January and have the show in May.     1-2 rehearsals per week; Saturday and Sunday’s until May. We would then probably add a weekday or two. Times TBD depending on students involved. 

    Age range of students: 10 and up. (I will accept younger but will need to meet/talk with parents first)

    Times: TBD Saturday’s 5 pm-8 pm. Sunday’s 2 pm-5 pm

    January 8th informational meeting 6 pm. Register prior to this date.

    Enjoy one month of lessons with Coach Anna Holley. All materials are included! All ages and skill levels welcome! Ms. Anna is an honor graduate (Cum Laude) from the University of South Carolina School of Music; B.A. in Music with concentration in Piano and Voice, Theatre Minor. She is a Doctorate in Music Education Candidate and has over 15 years of performance experience. Ms. Anna has performed in stage and film across the eastern US, with performances alongside John Travolta, Morgan Freeman, Kat Graham, the SC Philharmonic, Palmetto Opera, and debut in Carnegie Hall in 2015.

    This is a build-your-own class based upon your interests and availability. The registration process will allow you to answer some questions about your interests and availability - The minimum price is $21, and you build from there. Dates correspond to build and tech rehearsal schedule of our summer show, The Spongebob Musical. 

    Students will have a hand in every technical aspect of producing a show on the mainstage at the Arts Center of Kershaw County, Based on student's interests and availability, students will be able to stage carpentry as part of building a set, learn about sound and light design, learn about backstage and production roles, and see the whole process from design to strike! Supervised by Resident Technical Director Richard Kiraly, this will be a hands-on theatre-resume-builder for anyone with an interest in technical theatre skills.

    Scene Study and Character Development

    Students in the Actor's Workshop will undergo a series of scene study and character development analysis consisting of works taken from classic film and theater productions. Under the direction of Thomas Santiago Wright, students will be guided through the process of taking a scene and breaking it down to the core of what and why the action is taking place, followed by developing the characters into realistic people with human emotions. Students will meet once a week on campus for two hours for four weeks.  Thomas is an established writer, director producer with a twenty plus year career working in the entertainment industry in Hollywood, CA. Teens 16+ and Adults. Limit 8 students

    On the outside always looking in will I ever be... able to play that role? NO? But during Miscast Night all bets are off! Come sing roles you could never play right now! Maybe a girl wants to be the Phantom or a boy wants to be Annie... Maybe someone older wants to play Matilda or someone young wants to be the Witch... Whatever you dream of you can do in MISCASTS!

    SpongeBob and all of the town must work to save their Bikini Bottom as destruction seems imminent. No one can keep it together even as the end is nearing - OR might there be one, a most unexpected hero who keeps his extraordinary wits about him in order to try and save his home.  Join us for the SpongeBob SquarePants Musical, and see how looking on the bright side  might just save the world!

    This camp runs M-F from 1-4 pm for the first two weeks.  Beginning July 25, the camp will switch to evenings at 6:30 pm. Students are encouraged to bring a snack and water.

    Interested parents are encouraged to assist with production once we switch to evening hours. 

    Performances will be August 5-7 and 12-14

    Attendance is mandatory starting with Tech week July 31 through August 7 and then again August 12-14

    If you want to audition for a specific part auditions will be

    Teen and Adults

    Join Kara Matney, costumer for the Arts Center of Kershaw County to learn about all that is entailed in costuming a show.  What is a costume book or a costume shop? How do you decide on designs for the show and where or how are the costumes created? Having worked recently with the touring company of Disney's the Lion King, Kara has lots of insight to share. You will use what you learn to help create costumes for an actual show.

    Let's Pretend Theatre Camp (ages 7-10)

    The perfect introduction to theatre for early learners. Campers explore the basics of creative expression, storytelling, and pantomime. Students will showcase their work in a theatre production on Friday at 11:30 am. Students should bring a personal snack and water.

    Summer Camp Ages 11-14

    Designed especially for those middle year when young theatre students are growing and changing. This year campers will learn about what goes on backstage at a performance. They will learn about costumes, properties, make up and what a stage manager and stage crew do.   Students should bring a personal snack and water.

    Creative Make-up for the Stage (ages 14 and up) 

    Start with the basics and them move into creating unusual characters for the stage with Jess Britt. Learn how to use contrast, contour, and color to design all kinds of make-ups from fairytale creature or animals to special effects. Then if you like, join Jess to assist actors with their make up for our Summer Show! July 18 - 22
