Scene Study/Character Development with Thomas Santiago Wright
Teens 16+ and Adults
Student’s will mastering the acting technique of taking a scene and breaking it down to bring their best performance. Study will cover scene structure, actions and motivations, along with character development. As part of the 4 week training sessions, students will perform their chosen scene role, opposite instructor as their scene partner, for class review. Materials provided by instructor. Saturdays 1-3 pm
Limit 8 students
Appropriate Covid-19 protocols will be followed for this class and students or parents will need to sign a waiver to attend.
Confusion and fun are the business of the day at Kamp Kaos - a summer camp that boasts its own 12-watt radio station. It’s opening day at camp and Director Wally Schneider is already in trouble: the mortgage is due, the world’s wealthiest woman wants to buy the camp, the county health inspector is coming and the mysterious weather phenomenon El Gordo has brought a migration of mice! It’s up to the wacky gang of counselors and campers to save the day when Wally eats cheese laced with sedative.

This is a FOUR WEEK camp that starts with auditions on June 7 and 8 from 6-8 pm, then a parent meeting June 11 from 6-8. Camp runs from June 14 through July 17. Younger campers will have different days and times than older campers. Dates, times and other details will be discuss at the the parent meeting. The show will be filmed and made available on-line as well as performed live outside on the Shull Pavilion the weekend of July 16 times TBA.
Covid guidelines will be adhered to and a waiver will be required for your child to participate.
Have you ever wanted to find out what goes on behind the scenes of a show? What does a stagehand do? Who builds the set or runs the sound? What matters most when filming actors on stage?
Join Technical Director Richard Kiraly for a chance to learn and create behind the scenes at Kamp Kaos. Plan to work on the set, learn about sound and lights and how to film a show.
The show will be filmed and made available on-line as well as performed live outside on the Shull Pavilion the weekend of July 16 and 17.
Assessment of skills starts on Saturday, July 3rd with an all day session. Students will need to bring a lunch. Then the first week is a day camp while the last week will be production week, with times TBD.
