Scene Study and Character Development
Students in the Actor's Workshop will undergo a series of scene study and character development analysis consisting of works taken from classic film and theater productions. Under the direction of Thomas Santiago Wright, students will be guided through the process of taking a scene and breaking it down to the core of what and why the action is taking place, followed by developing the characters into realistic people with human emotions. Students will meet once a week on campus for two hours for four weeks. Thomas is an established writer, director producer with a twenty plus year career working in the entertainment industry in Hollywood, CA. Teens 16+ and Adults. Limit 8 students
All classes subject to following CDC covid19 guidelines.
Jami Steele-Sprankle has directed and performed with improv troupes in Los Angeles, CA, South Florida and Columbia, SC. She learned from teachers schooled by Second City, Comedysportz, and The Groundlings.
Join Jami to learn the techniques, and exercise the muscles that lead to great theatre and indeed give you the ability to think on your feet in any situation. Learn how to really listen and create with your fellow actors. Develop characters that will become a part of your theatrical repertoire to be used again and again. We will start with the basics and work towards regular performances once the group has learned enough to work well together as a troupe.
As the Holidays loom, we will look for a fun time to perform for our friends and family. Returning students who perform will be given a code for a discounted session by contacting the instructor email@example.com.
Ages 14+; Thursdays 5:30 – 7:30 PM; Saturday's 1-3 PM
