Confusion and fun are the business of the day at Kamp Kaos - a summer camp that boasts its own 12-watt radio station. It’s opening day at camp and Director Wally Schneider is already in trouble: the mortgage is due, the world’s wealthiest woman wants to buy the camp, the county health inspector is coming and the mysterious weather phenomenon El Gordo has brought a migration of mice! It’s up to the wacky gang of counselors and campers to save the day when Wally eats cheese laced with sedative.
Join directors Kim Scott and Amanda Britt to learn the ins and outs of theatre as we work together to put on a show!
This is a FOUR WEEK camp that starts with auditions on June 7 and 8 from 6-8 pm, then a parent meeting June 11 from 6-8. Camp runs from June 14 through July 17. Younger campers will have different days and times than older campers. Dates, times and other details will be discuss at the the parent meeting. The show will be filmed and made available on-line as well as performed live outside on the Shull Pavilion the weekend of July 16 times TBA.
Covid guidelines will be adhered to and a waiver will be required for your child to participate.
Come and join us for a long overdue summer showcase. Pick 2-3 songs from Disney or the Broadway stage. You can do songs you have done before or brand new songs. Disney songs are heavily suggested for at least one of your selections! Please be as memorized as you can be and have a karaoke track for the songs you choose. (Don’t pick a song without a karaoke track!) If you are interested please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We want to make sure we don’t have duplicate songs so have backups for you backups! We will perform outside on the Shull Pavilion at the Arts Center Aug. 1st, 2021 at 5pm. Ages - 14+

Have you ever wanted to find out what goes on behind the scenes of a show? What does a stagehand do? Who builds the set or runs the sound? What matters most when filming actors on stage?
Join Technical Director Richard Kiraly for a chance to learn and create behind the scenes at Kamp Kaos. Plan to work on the set, learn about sound and lights and how to film a show.
The show will be filmed and made available on-line as well as performed live outside on the Shull Pavilion the weekend of July 16 and 17.
Assessment of skills starts on Saturday, July 3rd with an all day session. Students will need to bring a lunch. Then the first week is a day camp while the last week will be production week, with times TBD.

Students will need a photo of their subject blown up to the size they want their portrait and 1 Micron 01 Archival Ink water proof marker- fine tip. These can be purchased at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
Limit to 10 people.
Students provide their own snacks. Adult, Teens 14+
Join Gina Bruce this summer to picture yourself in new ways. Camp is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Monday: Graphite Portrait. You will need an 8x10 photo copy of a photo you want to draw.
Tuesday: Neurographic Water- color and Ink Portrait
Thursday: Pop Art Painting It can be a pet or person, but you will need a blown up photo of what they are painting 11x14
Friday: Finish up any portraits that are not done and if time

Join Gina Bruce to create a portrait of your best furry friend. This fun full day class has a morning session 9-12:00 and an afternoon session from 1-4, so you will need to bring a lunch.
You will need to send the teacher a photo of your pet and tell her your canvas size by July 15. Choose between 8x10, 11x14 or 16x20. Send photo to Sursiesbygina@gmail.com

This 2 day workshop will help you learn how to capture the feeling of your subject and its surroundings. Visual Journaling also helps to release anxiety and tension.
Students will need to bring a Micron fine line water proof marker available at Michael's and Hobby Lobby.

Celebrating Women in this wonderful self discovery Portrait Class! Through exercises in Graphite, shading, line work, Pen, Journaling, Talk exercises we will explore who we are how we look at ourselves, ( Tricks of the trade will be shared) Women will need to bring a set of drawing pencils ( Inexpensive set can be purchased at Michael's. But they need 2b, 4b,6b,8b

After the week of the class, we will have a special reception activity where your portrait will be displayed in the Daniels Education Building on Saturday evening.
