Adult & Teen Clay with Debra Gregory

Put on your creative hat and come play in clay with Debra Gregory as your guide. You’ll have fun creating pots by hand building and wheel throwing. This course introduces beginning students to clay and provide experienced clay enthusiasts advanced techniques. Clay may be purchased through the Fine Arts Center for $25 per bag.

Tuesday Clay: Hand-Building & More with Anne Schultz

Get your hands in the clay! This fun class focuses on classic and contemporary methods of pinching, coiling, rolling and glazing clay, to create useful and decorative pottery for the home. All skill levels welcome. A wheel throwing demonstration will be included. Pots are kiln fired at the end of the session. Clay may be purchased through the Fine Arts Center for $25 per bag.

Enjoy making pottery on the potter’s wheel. Beginners learn the basics of wheel throwing, trimming and glazing pots progressively by making functional cups, bowls and vases. Intermediate/advanced students will learn wheel and hand-building techniques to make more complex projects and develop a personal style. Clay may be purchased through the Fine Arts Center for $25 per bag.

One Night of Clay with Anne Schultz

Have you ever wanted to try making something in clay or do something different with friends? Come join in the fun of working with clay in a one-night experience, guided by potter, Anne Schultz. Your creation will be glazed in clear and fired by Anne, to be picked up at a later date. Space is limited, so register early!

Art in the Garden

Come jump start your spring planting by making your own one-of-a-kind, hypertufa planter. They are lighter than pure cement because of aggregate materials used and can be formed into interesting shapes. Their rough-formed finish is attractive in lots of garden settings. Please dress to get your hands wet & messy. Supplies provided.

Portrait Class Using a Live Model with Jeremy Butler
Ages 16+ | $125
Join Jeremy Butler as he leads you through the process of sculpting a portrait using a live model. Jeremy Butler is a renowned sculptor whose work has been displayed in exhibitions from London to Hong Kong and many places in between. His work is also found in many private collections around the globe, including the Tennis Hall of Fame here in the United States. Masks and Mandalas with Kristi Dodson
Ages 16+ | $100
Join your fellow classmates in exploring the various “masks” we wear in life as a means of avoidance or coping. Class will create a mask to depict the persona you wear most often. In the second session, individuals will use mandalas as a path toward authenticity & shedding the mask…a creative journey of self-discovery & enrichment. Students should bring preferred art supplies or found objects that speak to the student and a creative spirit.
