Monday clay in the evenings

Put on your creative hat and come play in the clay with Debra Gregory as your guide.  Using pinch methods, coiling, slab rolling and various methods for decorating you will create functional and decorative pottery.  Beginner and experienced students welcome. All pottery created in this class is food safe.  This class is geared toward adults and teens. Instructor: Debbie Gregory

Tuesday Clay: Hand-Building

Cost $125

Get your hand in the clay! This fun class focuses on classic and contemporary methods of pinching, coiling, rolling and glazing clay to create useful and decorative pottery. Wheel throwing demonstration is included.  All skill levels welcome. Pieces will be kiln fired at the end of the session. Instructor: Anne Schultz

Wednesday Clay: Wheel-Throwing

Enjoy making pottery on the potter’s wheel. Beginners will learn the basics of wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing pots by making cups, bowls, and vases. More advance students will learn wheel and hand building techniques to make more complex projects. Instructor: Anne Schultz

Portraits

You will begin the six-week session with basic drawing using charcoal sticks and pencils so that there is an understanding of shapes, composition, and how objects relate to each other. From there, you will move into painting taking those things that you learned from drawing and pushing them further with the addition of color. Blockbuster Studio 180 Quilting

Adult/ 16 +

Cost $20 per month

This class introduces quilters to the Deb Tucker, Studio 180 Design Tools and Technique Sheets along with a free monthly block pattern and instructions from a Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor.  This is a 3-hour "sit and sew" each month with either a new Tool or a new Technique Sheet.  These tools make the everyday units creating blocks easier and more accurate by oversizing and then trimming down.  Before you know it, you will be "Tuckerizing" blocks and patterns and creating your own.  At the end of 12 months, you will have 8 Fundamental Tools and 4 Technique Sheets; and 12 or more blocks to put into a quilt top.

Quilting Level -- Beginner and above.

The instructor will email with materials fees and other information. The first block will be an Ohio Star Variation  (chose your colors)

Make this traditional card trick quilt pattern using favorite fabrics. Learn how to use the Studio 180 Design “Tucker Trimmer Tool” to make all of your square, half square, and combination blocks.
